In Business...

In today's global economy, where people are the only sustainable source of competititve advantage, success depends on the ability to perform within international and multicultural environments. The trend towards a global economy is bringing people of different ethnic and cultural backgrounds together. Therefore, the development of greater intercultural understanding has become an essential element of global business. I am committed to helping you exchange knowledge across cultures, develop and manage leaders for today's diverse workplace, and to enhance your ability to do business at home and abroad.

In Schools.....

Cultural Competency is "a set of appropriate behaviors, attitudes, and beliefs that enable us to live and work effectively in cross-cultural situations now experienced in many communities across the world. Cultures are made up of different elements such as: ethnicity, language, religion, customs, values and patterns of behavior. Within each culture a broad scope of beliefs and practices may exist mutually that can create a challenge to teaching and the learning environment of a school. Consequently, stereotyping individuals can create barriers by assuming everyone in the same cultural group has the same beliefs and reacts the same way. We must learn to let go of our own ‘cultural baggage’ in order to model cross-cultural competency for our students.

In The U.S., too often we frame conversations regarding our racial, ethnic, and gender differences in nonproductive or ineffective ways. As Educators, we must strive to meet urgent needs of the new global economy. Our schools and businesses must provide skills-based training that emphasizes the benefits each person gains in an inclusive community: higher productivity, economic stability and security, greater creativity, and competitive advantages in the workforce.

In Personal Life...

Living with intention and compassion brings out your best which creates a successful outcome in your daily life, the way you parent, the way you relate, communicate, and the way you do business.  You get to define success and bring it forth in your own life. Life is not meant to be lived haphazardly. Don’t let life happen to you, be intent in bringing fulfillment into every aspect of living. Learn to be an inspired leader at home and at work as you begin to make a difference each and every day!

Life is filled with 'refining' moments.
